Introduction

SARAI is a private community app for residents of the compound. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Data We Collect

• Account data: full name, email address, phone number, and an optional username.
• Verification data: residential unit details (stage, unit number, area) and a photo of the ownership contract — used solely to verify residency.
• Content you create: posts, comments, messages, photos, documents, voice notes, polls, and unit listings.
• Location: only when you manually choose to share your location in a chat — we never track your location in the background.
• Contacts: only when you choose to share a contact card in a chat — we do not upload your address book.
• Technical identifiers: your user ID and a device token for push notifications (via Firebase).

How We Use Data

• To operate the app's services: community feed, messaging, groups, marketplace, and notifications.
• To verify resident membership and protect the community from unauthorized accounts.
• To respond to your requests (e.g. the in-app contact form).

We do not sell your data, share it for advertising or marketing, or use any ad tracking.

Data Sharing

Your name, photo, and content are visible to verified members inside the community according to your settings (for example, showing your phone number on your profile is off by default). We use technical service providers to run the app (such as Firebase for push notifications) under their contractual data-protection obligations.

Storage & Security

Data is stored on secured servers and transferred over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the service.

Your Rights

• View and edit your data inside the app (profile and settings).
• Permanently delete your account from: Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us.
• Control the visibility of optional data (phone number, listed units, bio).

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for adult compound residents and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
